These two babies came in the mail today. Maybe the two most anticipated Japanese artbooks this year. Takeya’s The Hunter’s Angle is a big, bad, letdown, it would have been much better if the pictures hadn’t that annoying sort of instagram filter which makes most of the particulars difficult to see. Terada’s Ten, on the other hand, is a beautiful artbook, filled with LOTS of never seen before stuff but was it really necessary to print most of it in monochrome instead of the full color versions?
I’m kind of bummed.
